Coco is a 7 year-old, 3-legged, red-haired beauty. Coco has only known life with 3
legs; her front right leg was surgically removed when she was 3 days
old either from a birth defect or injury. Unfortunately, Coco went
undiagnosed with hypothryroidsm and gained a large amount of weight
that put undue stress on her back legs causing severe swelling on her
ankle joints.

Coco came to WAAGR in 9/11. She had great difficulty walking more than
short distances. Her coat was matted with thinning patches and had a
bare, rat-like looking tail. Coco is currently on thyroid medication
and in 3 short months, she has lost over 16 pounds, her coat is
filling in, her tail is completely covered with beautiful soft fur and
most important, she is able to keep up with her foster canine siblings
and will not be left behind for romps in the yard!

Coco loves other dogs and cats but thrives on human interaction. She
would do best in a home with limited stairs although stairs do not
intimidate her. She LOVES to ride in cars and loves to be outside with
you when you are working in the yard. Coco is house trained and does
not need to be kenneled.

Coco currently climbs 3 stairs to sleep on her foster mom's bed at
night and is allowed on the couch to which she does her own version of
the Lambeau Leap to reach the top; however, she is content to stay on
the floor with a bed of her own.

Coco is currently on a premium diet with oil supplements, a daily pain
medication and a daily thyroid medication. Following adoption, she
will need yearly Vet visits to check her thyroid levels.

Coco would love to become a part of your family! Complete a WAAGR
application and schedule a meeting with this red-haired beauty!
