Patches is available for adoption!

Patches #1178
Male Intact
White with Brown spots on body

Patches has long soft fluffy hair. Patches is vocal and will let you know when the puppy schedule is not on course. He will go to a gate and say “Hey! I can smell the food, what’s the delay?”

Patches enjoys the soft puppy toys (plush) and plays well with others. Like the other puppies, Patches does not show fear to any of the common evils that dogs learn to fear like the noise of the vacuum, sub pump, or a bang from the kitchen.

Please help save Sadie “The Mom”, Avery “Stepmom” and Their Seven Pups

Approximately one month ago Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever (WAAGR), a golden retriever rescue group based in southeastern Wisconsin, got a call from a shelter in Missouri. They needed help saving a dog that had touched all of their hearts. “Sadie” named by the shelter was a small golden retriever mix that was ready to deliver a litter of puppies any day.

Sadie had spent most of her pregnancy on the streets of a small town in Missouri. A good Samaritan saw that this little girl was obviously pregnant and needed a safe place to have her puppies. Sadie was brought in to the shelter. Unfortunately due to lack of space and funding the shelter is only able to hold on to the dogs for 3 days. Many times shelters are understaffed and ill equipped to deal with pregnant dogs and newborn litters. Sadie’s time had run out. Sadie and her unborn pups would have to be put to sleep the next day if WAAGR couldn’t help out.
